Psychological Associate
As a Psychological Associate with Lifemark Health you will administer psychometric testing including vocational, academic, psychological, and neuropsychological to individuals being assisted in return to work planning.
Responsibilities include:
- Confering with referral sources, clients and staff to schedule assessment dates
- Administering and scoring psychometric test battery for clients’ initial assessments.
- Providing ongoing and discharge psychometric testing for clients in the Pain Management Program as requested by the Psychologist.
- Administering and scoring assessment tests and recording results
- Providing relevant information (e.g., behavioral observations) and assisting the Psychologist in completing the initial psychological assessment.
- Maintaining inventory of testing materials and supplies
- Providing support for Psychologists in the Pain Management Program
- Delivering relaxation training
- Facilitating group education classes
- May be involved in providing psychoeducational classes to clients enrolled in the Pain Management Program
- Liaising with other professionals (e.g., case managers) as needed
- Attending at least one conference per year pertaining to the subject of pain management and/or psychological assessment.
- Maintaining current review of literature pertaining to concepts in pain management and/or psychological assessment.
Qualifications
- B.A., B.Sc., or Masters in Clinical Psychology
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and other correspondence
- Ability to communicate using different styles and methods to suit individual clients
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
- Previous experience required in administering and scoring psychological assessments
- Experience in working with a chronic pain population
- Previous experience as an interdisciplinary team member preferably within an occupational rehabilitation setting
- Excellent written and oral skills required
- Basic computer skills (e.g., WORD, EXCEL)
