Accounts Payable Clerk
As an Accounts Payable Clerk at LifeMark Health, you are a flexible team player who supports the office’s administrative and financial functions. You are service oriented, reliable and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task. You have excellent organization skills and pay close attention to detail. Your strong computer skills, including knowledge of ACCPAC Accounting software, add value to the other team members. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills complimented by a strong command of the English language.
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to communicate effectively verbally and in written form as the position will deal with a variety of internal staff and vendors
- Be able to process high volume of invoices
- Have high level of data input accuracy
Responsibilities include:
- Processing invoices ensuring that appropriately approved, correct G/L account applied and company policies are followed then inputting in Accpac accounting system
- Processing petty cash replenishment requests
- Processing expense reports
- Miscellaneous invoice adjustments and journal entries
- Vendor statements reconciliation and follow up
- Fielding vendor and staff telephone calls and emails re payment status
- Monthly clearing of cancelled cheques in Accpac
- Matching cheques to invoices for each cheque run and distribution once signed
- Filing cancelled cheques and paid invoice backup including setting up of new files
Qualifications
- Completion of high school and completion of college, vocational or technical training/university ( minimum 2 year accounting program)
- Knowledge of ACCPAC Accounting software preferred but not mandatory
- Minimum 1 year accounts payable experience
