Neuropsychologist

You are a provincially registered Neuropsychologist with a doctorate degree in psychology and a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology or equivalent. As a member of the interdisciplinary Return to Work (RTW) Services Team, with short term clinical intervention experience you can quickly establish rapport with clients challenged by brain injury, psychological issues and/or pain. You are known for your excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have a working knowledge of objective assessment. You will have the opportunity to participate in clinical research, teaching, public speaking and to provide mentorship to other members of the team.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Clinical application of neuropsychological principles in our mild traumatic brain injury clinic, milieu-based day program and supported employment services. Psychometry services are provided.
  • Assessment of clients with suspected traumatic brain injuries and interpretation of cognitive screens and comprehensive neuropsychological assessments.
  • Timely completion of reports and data collection to meet the proposed deadlines.
  • Individual intervention with clients currently attending a brain injury day program (this may include individual, group, and family education sessions on neuroanatomy and symptom management).
  • Contributing to client management processes including attending case conferences, team meetings, discharge planning, etc.).
  • Maintain client psychology files as well as contribute to team reports.
